INVISTA operates the first third-party certified industry program to reclaim and recycle carpet in the nation. Launched in 1991, the program reclaims post-consumer carpet in certain areas, regardless of manufacturer or fiber type, including Type 6 and Type 6,6 nylon.

• No reclaimed carpet in the program goes to the landfill

• Over 65 million pounds of post-consumer carpet have been reclaimed

INVISTA’s Stainmaster® nylon 6,6 carpets have been proven to last up to 50% longer than other carpets,1 thus extending their usable life.

• Selecting products that are durable and last longer potentially leads to:

– Less carpet going to the landfills

– Reducing the need for premature recycling

Nylon fiber – whether Type 6 or Type 6,6 nylon – is both recyclable back into carpet fiber or other high-value products like carpet cushions, carpet backing and other end uses. Recycling centers may not be available in all areas.

Stainmaster® carpet styles are Green Label Certified through carpet mills participating in the Carpet and Rug Institute (CRI) testing program which identifies carpets that are tested by an independent certified laboratory and meet stringent criteria for low chemical emission.
