History of Weaver Carpets

Bob Weaver began his career in the carpet business in North Platte, Nebraska as a delivery man for a store called Dempsters, around 1945.

Soon he worked his way up to sales and carpet installation.

Sometime in the late 1940's, Dempsters was bought out by Swan's Furniture. He embraced his new job with Swan's and was one of their most successful salesmen, selling both carpet and furniture.

As his career grew, so did his family.  He married, and had two children.

Business eventually began to slow down in his Nebraska hometown, so he decided to move his family and seek new opportunities in Denver, Colorado.  A couple of his close buddies were were expert carpet installers and he persuaded them to come along to Colorado, too.

Once in Denver, he began his business in sales and installation of carpets, and eventually started Weaver Carpets.
